Adam Idah’s recent transfer from Norwich City to Celtic has earned Cork club College Corinthians a princely sum of money through a sell-on clause.

Idah spent the latter half of last season on loan with the Bhoys and helped the club to a league and cup double, with his goals also adding momentum towards a permanent deal which was struck for a reported €9.95m plus another €1.17m in add-ons.

Idah originally joined Norwich from Corinthians, who included a sell-on clause when the striker departed Cork for East Anglia in 2017.

Idah had been with the Cork club since he was six years old, and they are now set to reap the benefit of his move to Scotland.

The club will receive a cool €807,000 as part of the player’s sale to Celtic.

The 23-year-old struck nine goals in 19 appearances for the Hoops during his six-month loan spell earlier this year.
