Guide - Dungeon progression guide [HIGH EFFORT] (2024)

Healer:
(just starting to consider dungeons, starter setup)

- use pretty much any dragon armor for first entrance completion (you can get mender helm from Ophelia if you really want to be a healer, not needed though)
(starting to grind dungeons more often, can complete floor 1 reliably)
- go for one floor 2 completion and get adaptive blade, this will allow you to deal more damage inside dungeons
- once you get a floor 3 completion, get adaptive armor. as the name suggests, it will adapt to your class and since it is a dungeon armor set, it will let you survive for longer, you can also swap out helmet for a mender fedora that you can purchase from Ophelia for 800k
(starting to get good at dungeons, almost is your main money making method)
- floor 4, nothing new for healer class, on to floor 5
- floor five brings some new weapons and armor (shadow assassin armor is Ok but not completely needed), livid dagger is the main focus from this floor (very good for damage, can be a little pricy though)
- floor 6. from this floor you want necromancer lord armor. if you are struggling to survive, werewolf armor is a good temporary set for first run (https://hypixel-skyblock.fandom.com/wiki/Werewolf_Armor), it is good because it gives a lot of ferocity and when you trigger ferocity, the full set bonus heals everyone around you for 10% of your defense, and gives you 50 more defense for 5 seconds (stacking). before you attempt floor 7, you want to have 3/4 necromancer lord, livid dagger, and mender fedora, all 5 star.
(late game/end game sweat)
- floor 7. once you complete this floor, you want to get 3/4 goldor armor, with mender crown. if you have enough money, you can get a wither blade variant (astraea is the healer/tank sword but you can probably get away with a hyperion)
pets: this whole time, a blue whale should be sufficient, get at least a rare one starting at floor 3, and you can upgrade to legendary once you have enough money

Mage:
(just starting to consider dungeons, starter setup)

- use pretty much any dragon armor for first entrance completion (you can get dark goggles from Ophelia if you really want to be a mage, not needed though)
- floor 1. from this floor you want to get a bonzo staff and bonzo mask (for surviving). this is a mage weapon that can be relatively expensive, and uses a lot of mana (ultimate wise helps with the mana cost)
- floor 2 doesnt bring anything useful (adaptive blade isnt good for mage)
(starting to grind dungeons more often, can complete floor 2 reliably)
- floor 3 you can get adaptive armor, which gives better survivability. you want to use dark/shadow.wither goggles from Ophelia,
(starting to get good at dungeons, almost is your main money making method)
- floor 4 you can get the spirit sceptre, one of the better mage weapons, you wont be needing your bonzo staff again until floor 7. it can be a little expensive but is almost required for further progression.
- floor 5 has nothing new that would be useful (shadow assassin is only good for left click mage, but left click mage isnt a good class at this level)
- floor 6 is going to be a little tough unless you have a healer/tank in your party on your first run. from floor 6 you want 3/4 necromancer lord with any goggles you can get from Ophelia
(late game/end game sweat)
- floor 7 is going to be difficult, and a yeti sword/100m midas staff is recommended, but you can sometimes get away in the first few runs without them. from floor 7 you want 3/4 storm with wither goggles (and hyperion if you're rich) and heres where you get to choose between left click mage and right click mage. right click mage is cheaper as for left click mage you still want a right click mage setup. left click mage will need a one for all giants sword from floor 6, 3/4 ancient storm, any left click damage pet (legendary ender dragon is best) ice spray, and the previously mentioned giants sword.
pets: legendary sheep isnt too expensive and is really good, use legendary blue whale for survivability

Berserk:
(just starting to consider dungeons, starter setup)

- use pretty much any dragon armor for first entrance completion (you can get a super cleaver from Ophelia if you really want to be a berserk, not needed though)
- floor 2 is the next big step, where you can get the adaptive blade which will increase your damage a lot
(starting to grind dungeons more often, can complete floor 2 reliably)
- floor 3 brings adaptive armor, which is essential to progress to later floors but is a little pricy
(starting to get good at dungeons, almost is your main money making method)
- floor 5 brings shadow assassin armor, which is one of the best berserk armor sets in the game. however, the chestplate is expensive, though luckily a legendary zombie soldier chestplate is comparable and quite a bit cheaper.
- floor 6 doesnt bring anything new
(late game/end game sweat)
- floor 7 brings a lot of opportunities for berserk. necron armor is the best berserker set in the game, and valkyrie is one of the best swords in the game (very expenive though). also, an axe of the shredded is very recommended for increased damage (requirements are rev 8)
pets: legendary ender dragon is best, but legendary wither skeleton works too. baby yeti and blue whale are good for surviving (epic and legendary respectively)

Archer:
(just starting to consider dungeons, starter setup)

- use pretty much any dragon armor for first entrance completion (you can get an undead bow from Ophelia if you really want to be an archer, not needed though)
- floor 2 is the next big step, where you can get the adaptive blade which will increase your damage a lot (though you get -25% melee due to archer stats)
(starting to grind dungeons more often, can complete floor 2 reliably)
- get adaptive armor to increase survivability and damage, other than that, nothing new
(starting to get good at dungeons, almost is your main money making method)
- floor 4 brings one important thing: spirit bones. these are a drop from post-boss chests which are use to craft the bonemerang and can be found in obsidian and emerald chests. due to a bug unfortunately, one bonemerang is better than the old four, but one is will still allow you to do a lot of damage.
- floor 5 will let you use shadow assassin armor, one of the better sets for archer as it gives high damage stats.
(late game/end game sweat)
- floor 7 brings necron armor, which is one of the best damage sets in the game (excluding elegant tuxedo but why would you use that in dungeons) andis better than maxor armor, the armor originally intended for the archer class
(RICH BOI)
- unfortuately, untill swapping from bonemerang to bonemerang is fixed, one bonemerang isn't going to be sufficient.there is one VERY expensive bow that is better costing about 1 - 2billion coins: THE TERMINATOR (oops caps but ima leave that in there cause it looks good Guide - Dungeon progression guide [HIGH EFFORT] (1)). on top of its ridiculous amount of coisn to get, you also need to reach enderman slayer 7, which will be very difficult.
pets:
baby yeti (epic) or blue whale (legendary) for surviving, and legendary wither skeleton/ender dragon for damage

Tank:
(just starting to consider dungeons, starter setup)

- use pretty much any dragon armor for first entrance completion (you can get a metal chestplate from Ophelia if you really want to be a tank, not needed though)
- floor 2 brings adaptive blade, more damage = more life steal, nothing too much though
(starting to grind dungeons more often, can complete floor 2 reliably)
- floor 3 adaptive armor is essential as you will be taking 80% of the damage your teammates take within 30 blocks, so effective hp is essential
(starting to get good at dungeons, almost is your main money making method)
- floor 5 you can use shadow assassin armor which will give slightly more effective hp than adaptive armor, no huge difference though, also get a livid dagger because you want your armor on a tanky reforge so you will lack crit chance
- floor 6 you will take a lot of damage during the terracotta phase of sadan, so a healer is recommended, and get a steel chestplate to reduce the damage your teammates take which in turn reduces the damage you take. from floor 6 you want a full necromancer lord set
(late game/end game sweat)
- floor 7 after first completion your setup should be goldor legs and chestplate, reaper mask (requirement is rev 7), and tier 12 perfect boots, all reforged to giant. astraea is very expensive but a cheap alternative is a wither cloak sword as it only gives 100 less defense if you are cata 50
pets: rare blue whale for lower floors, when you can upgrade to legendary, is essential for surviving

Hopefully this guide was very helpful to you, and feel free to post feedback! (am still working on archer and tank guides)
EDIT: archer guide done
